Hello Bloggers,

Please check out the blog on my new website. The site is still in testing mode. But comment on the blog and let me know what you’d like to see as a reader. Or any tips. I’ll be sure to reciprocate the attention!!

Test 1. 2. 3.

Hello. As a first time Blogger, I sit here pondering about what to write. There are so many topics in this world, that one can sit and read blogs for months. But I’m not here to write about just any topic. I’m here to enlighten the individual day dreaming at the local hipster coffee shop in the city about all the hiking trails they can be traveling on instead.

But before we go any further, I have to introduce you to what lead me to this graveling beginning to write about wanderlusting….

In December of 2015, my boyfriend, Patrick and myself (along with 3 crazy dogs) moved from Denver, Colorado to San Antonio, Texas. Here we were, having just completed a weekend trip to Portland. We traveled along the Tilamook coast, searching for Bigfoot, getting drenched on at Cannon Beach,  and having an enlightening experience while staying at a Japanese Tea House in Nehalem. Owning acreage and operating a bed and breakfast on the Oregon Coast- that’s what we decided we wanted to do. Not even two days after arriving back in reality, Patrick received a job offer to work at the Grand Hyatt San Antonio. This was an offer we couldn’t refuse, as we see it as an opportunity to fulfill our 5 year plan.

So, off we went to San Antonio!

Texas is a whole other world compared to Denver. The first thought that came to mind was- no. Not the weed. The hiking. Where are the trails that no one will be on, because they will be shredding the gnarr instead. In Texas, people are. Everywhere. How is it going to be possible to get a little seclusion and get reinvigorated with nature?

State Natural areas.

Follow me on this journey as we travel a new state park each week, and I will give you tips on the best trails, the best outdoor gear, the best antique shops, and the best local shops. If we travel to another state, then you bet we’ll be hiking the trail less hiked on, and I’ll provide my best recommendations there too!

Happy 2016 and opt outside!!
